Kaizer Chiefs Clinch 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge Title With a Game to Spare

Kaizer Chiefs have been crowned champions of the 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge, securing the title with one match still to play. The Amakhosi Reserves wrapped up the league in style with a commanding 3-0 victory over Magesi FC Reserves, taking them to 64 points from 26 matches and confirming their status at the top.

This triumph is a major milestone for the club’s youth development system. Under the guidance of Head Coach Vela Khumalo, Chiefs have combined tactical discipline, attacking flair and defensive resilience to dominate the competition. It is a true reflection of the long-term vision Kaizer Chiefs have invested in their future.

Throughout the campaign, the young Glamour Boys proved almost impenetrable, conceding just 16 goals and keeping 13 clean sheets, the best defensive record in the league. Going forward, they were just as ruthless, scoring 52 goals to underline their dominance. Standout performers such as Imaam Hendricks, Naledi Hlongwane, Neo Bohloko and Nkosana Mbuthu were key figures, delivering consistently at crucial moments.

A significant turning point came when the Premier Soccer League’s Disciplinary Committee awarded Chiefs three points following Chippa United’s failure to honor a scheduled match. That decision helped stretch the gap at the summit, putting the title firmly within their grasp.
Although they have already been crowned champions, Kaizer Chiefs will look to finish the season on a high when they face AmaZulu FC Reserves in their final game. The goal is simple maintain momentum and set the tone for the next generation.

This title is more than just a trophy for Naturena. It symbolizes years of hard work, patience and belief in developing homegrown talent.
